Crossroads

This video essay was produced from a long journey, traveling during nine months amid the pandemic from Montreal, Abu Dhabi and Helsinki. The video describes intimate observations on unsettlement and an unseen end. The voice excerpts are part of Gloria Alzuadúa’s book, Borderlands/La Frontera.The New Mestiza (1987). The soundtrack has been produced by Amanda Gutierrez in collaboration with Chicago-based artist Norman Long. This piece was premiered for the Music Festival Women Making Noise 2020.
